Joelle Peters is an actor/writer from Walpole Island First Nation and is of Ojibwe, Potawatomi, Odawa and Miami tribe descent. She attended Seneca College’s Acting for Camera and Voice program and has since worked on projects such as the 29th Weesageechak Begins to Dance Festival (Native Earth Performing Arts), Dreary & Izzy by Tara Beagan (Theatre Northwest), Deceitful Above All Things (Summerworks Festival 2015), Web of Lies (Investigation Discovery) and also assisted with a workshop held at the Stratford Festival. Joelle is currently in Toronto rehearsing for the remount of the ‘NNNN’ rated play Deceitful Above All Things, written by Genevieve Adam and directed by Tanya Rintoul, reprising her role as Catherine/Genessee.
