Lisa Cromarty (Oji-Cree) is a First Nations actress who is a graduate of the Centre for Indigenous Theatre and has completed programs such as Canada’s National Voice Intensive and the Aboriginal Writer’s Program at the Banff Centre. She has acted with her hometown’s professional theatre company, the Debajemuhjig Theatre Company located in Wikwemikong, the Weengushk Institute located in M’Chigeeng as well as Native Earth Performing Arts located in Toronto. Her theatre acting credits include playing Honey in Maria Gets A New Life written by Cliff Cardinal for the Summerworks Theatre Festival. Lisa has also acted in several short films and has been directed by Adam Garnet Jones and Michelle Latimer. She is currently located in Toronto and travels home to Manitoulin Island often.
