A dynamic professional artistic and cultural Northern Plains Cree originating from Treaty 6 Territory in Saskatchewan of which being a direct and hereditary descendant of his namesake Mista Wasis (Big Child) who was the first signatory and Head Chief of the Iron Nation, an alliance of Saulteaux (Plains Ojibway) and Assiniboine(Nakoda/Stoney) formed in 1820, shortly after Mista Wasis witnessed the White Buffalo.
Greg traces his Indigenous ancestry back six generation on both sides of his family. Although university educated he credits knowing who he is and where he comes from for allowing him the opportunity to travel and experience the world.
Having made a decision over 20 years ago to make his vocation a vacation he has been gifted with youth and vitality. He has participated in film and television both in front and behind the lens on several occasions.
He has also organized events, venues and galas and presented and facilitated in many diverse areas and topics in regards to Indigenous Peoples, always for the betterment of all involved for today and into the future.Greg ‘Mista Wasis’ Dreaver definitely lives up to his name and enjoys pow wow dancing, longboard skateboarding and spending time with his two beautiful children.
