Based in Toronto, NEPA is Canada’s oldest native performing arts company. Through professional artistic creation, development, and production, NEPA is dedicated to expressing the Aboriginal experience in Canada. NEPA seeks to engage artistic visions, maintaining diversity while identifying community. NEPA procures this shared vision through stage productions (theatre, dance, and multi-disciplinary forms), new script development, apprenticeships, and internships.
In service to our mandate and mission, the company operates according to 7 traditional principles which inform decisions in all undertakings. It is our belief that these tenets not only honour Aboriginal values, but are universal to all cultures in various manifestations: Courage; Generosity; Tolerance; Character; Patience; Humility; Wisdom.
