Call for Cultural Coordinator - Yukon Territory

Champagne and Aishihik First Nations (CAFN) is looking for expressions of interest for coordinating our 2017 Da Kų Nän Ts’étthèt (our House is Waking Up the Land) Dance Festival – A three day celebration of Aboriginal drumming and dancing, held at the Da Kų Cultural Centre in Haines Junction, Yukon from June 2nd to 4th, 2017. The ideal candidate would bring previous experience at organizing similar events, strong coordination skills, the ability to work independently as well as leading an organizing committee, and be able to work with CAFN representatives to determine and
implement an artistic vision for the festival and performances. The work term is expected to be a mixture of part-time and full-time work, starting in February 2017, ending in late June 2017, and comprising approximately 75 days total work. Compensation will be dependent on level of experience and expertise, with a range of $35,000 to $48,000 being considered. Additionally, travel and accommodation support may be considered for exceptional candidates.
